WHAT TIME DOES THE FESTIVAL START AND FINISH?

10am-11pm.

The bar closes at 10.30pm, food closes at 10.45pm and the music concludes at 11pm. The official after at Mint Warehouse starts immediately after the open air.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

We recommend arriving before 12/1pm to avoid queues.

WHAT TIME IS LAST ENTRY TO THE FESTIVAL?

Last entry will be 8pm.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

Dress code – No full tracksuits, no tracksuit bottoms, walking pants, (tracksuit top worn with jeans/ shorts is acceptable) strictly no man bags, (Bum bags are allowed) no bags bigger than A4 size, no camel packs.

CAN I BRING A BAG IN TO COCOON IN THE PARK?

No big bags or rusk sacks are allowed in to Cocoon in the Park. No man bags, (Bum bags are allowed)  no bags bigger than A4 size, no camel packs.

DO I NEED TO PRINT MY TICKET?

No you don’t have to print your ticket you can just show the barcode on your phone. Please make sure you charge your phone overnight and before you set off for the festival.

If you are coming to the after party you might want to print off you after party ticket with barcode just in case your phone runs out of battery. 

We can not let you in if your phone has died and you can’t show your ticket.

Mint Festival will not be responsible for any fake tickets, please report to us anyone who may have been selling fake online tickets.

CAN I PAY ON THE DAY?

Cocoon in the Park looks to sell out this week. There may be some limited tickets on the day from the box office but will be more expensive than advance online sales. We strongly advise to pay in advance. 

DOES BUYING A TICKET FOR THE FESTIVAL GET ME IN THE AFTER PARTY FOR FREE?

No you will need to buy a separate ticket for the after party on www.mintleeds.com

There aren’t any cash machines on site or any way of getting cash back anywhere so please bring money with you if you need it for taxi’s or anything else.

CASHLESS WRISTBANDS IMPORTANT INFORMATION

A lot of people have been asking questions about our cashless drinks wristbands so here are some answers to help.

CAN WE BUY DRINKS WITH CASH?

No you can’t, Cocoon in the Park is a cashless festival, you can only buy food and drinks with our cashless wristbands. They have a microchip on which will have your credit on to use at our bars.

CAN WE BUY DRINKS WITH A BANK CARD?

No you can’t, you can only buy food and drinks with our cashless wristbands.

SHOULD I BUY DRINKS CREDIT IN ADVANCE ?

We highly recommend doing this, and we will give you a free drink for every £50 you spend.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T TOP UP DRINKS CREDIT BEFORE THE DAY?

If you don’t top up before the day you will be able to add credit to your wristband at the festival at our Top up Stations, HOWEVER, this has been our highest selling Cocoon in the Park ever. Once queuing to get in the festival itself you will have to join another queue to top up your wristband and we would rather you had a stress free day and go straight to the bar and the dance floor!

Drinks will be standard festival price of around £5 per drink.

CAN WE PAY WITH CASH IN THE VIP AREA?

No you can’t everywhere will be cashless.

How to buy drinks at Mint Festival 2019

  1. Buy a voucher in advance here http://bit.ly/citpdrinks
    2. Arrive at the festival and get your wristband credited with your voucher.
    3. Head to the bar and get the drinks in!
    4. Keep your wristband including the chip to refund what you don’t spend.

*Please note. All wristbands will incur a £1.25 activation fee

If you have credit remaining on your cashless wristband then please keep hold of your wristband as you will need the 14 digit ID number from the back of your wristband chip.

Refund applications open online July 15th 1pm to July 17th 1pm, so please make sure you apply for your credit refund before the cut off. Any refund application made after the closing date will not be accepted. All refund applications are subject to a £1 fee to cover banking administration costs.

IS THERE A CLOAKROOM?

There will be a cloakroom.

ARE THERE LOCKERS ON SITE?

No, we won’t have lockers on site this year.

ARE THERE CHANGING ROOMS?

There are no changing rooms.

CAN YOU SMOKE CIGARETTES INSIDE THE FESTIVAL SITE?

Yes you can smoke inside the arena, random searches will be made upon entry to ensure no prohibited items are concealed within the cigarettes. (Cigarettes will be sold within the festival site)

WHICH HOTELS ARE LOCATED NEAR THE FESTIVAL?

We recommend staying in Leeds city centre, check out www.trivago.co.uk for availability.

PARKING?

There is a car park at Cocoon in the park and it is free, Security will be present during the event however cars left overnight are left at the owners risk and Cocoon and management take no responsibility for any loss or damage.

LOST & FOUND?

There is a lost and found service at Cocoon in the park. Items are recorded and kept for 6 weeks, please email cocoonlostproperty@themintclub.com after the event to check on your lost property.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE TOILETS?

There is a sufficient number of port-a-loos at the venue.

CAN I BUY FOOD AT THE VENUE?

Yes, we have several food stands at the venue, where we offer a great variety of healthy food considering local suppliers.

CAN I TAKE DRINKS TO THE FESTIVAL AREA?

Drinks not purchased at the event are not allowed in the whole festival area.

ARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS?

The access to the Cocoon in the park open air is only allowed for people who are 18 years and older.

ARE THERE SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR HANDICAPPED PEOPLE?

The venue is handicapped accessible and there is a raised platform for people who are disabled in wheelchairs.

IS THERE POSSIBILITY TO RE-ENTER THE VENUE AFTER HAVING LEFT?

No, due to organisational reasons, re-entry is not possible.

CAN I TAKE MY CAMERA INTO THE FESTIVAL?

Only mobile phone cameras and small digital cameras for private use are allowed: video cameras are forbidden.

IS CAMPING ALLOWED AT THE VENUE?

No, due to organisational reasons, camping is not allowed at Cocoon in the park open air.

WHAT IF ITS RAINING?

We will continue dancing of course… and have a sufficient number of rain capes for you!

CAN I BRING AN UMBRELLA ?

It is possible to bring a small pocket umbrella, eg. Knirps. As bigger umbrellas can be used as a weapon, those are not allowed on site.

WILL I NEED ID?

We will be operating and enforcing a Challenge 25 policy at Cocoon in the Park just like any pub, club or festival in the country. If you can’t provide valid identification when asked, you will be asked to leave the site and come back with your ID. So if you are lucky enough to look 25 or younger, please make sure that you bring an acceptable form of identification.

Valid forms of ID include:

– An in date photographic driver’s license or provisional licence.

– A valid passport (not a photocopy). Out of date passports will NOT be accepted.

– A Proof of Age Standards Scheme Card (showing the PASS hologram).

This year Shuttle bus tickets from Leeds city centre to the festival will only be for people who have pre-purchased a shuttle bus ticket.

The buses will stop first at Sovereign St. for those not going to the after party, the second stop will be at Mint Warehouse for those wishing to attend the after party.

– All coaches will leave each city at 10am
– All coaches will return at 11.30pm from Temple Newsam from the same location you were dropped off.

AFTER PARTIES

HOW DO I GET TO THE MINT WAREHOUSE AFTER THE EVENT?

There will be a shuttle bus service provided by Cocoon in the park, the bus will drop people off firstly at Sovereign St, Leeds and for those wanting to continue on to the after party you will need to stay on and our final drop off point will be Mint Warehouse. You can also get a taxi to Mint Warehouse
